Olivia Prauss is founder and managing director of “YANGLAO AltenpflegeServices Deutschland-China”. The Berlin-based company has the aim to create exchange and cooperation in the field of elderly care between Germany and China. Before that she worked at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in Beijing; initially in a bilateral project on food safety and later on in the Department Portfolio Management within the office of the resident country director of GIZ China. She furthermore gained professional experience at the Department for Culture and Education of the Consulate General of the German Federal Republic in Shanghai (Goethe-Institut) and worked as an intercultural management trainer in Germany to train the management team of a SME on cultural aspects in business relations. Olivia has a background in Chinese Studies with a minor in Development Studies from the University of Vienna (equivalent M.A.). She also studied in Heidelberg, Shanghai and Paris. Olivia has been volunteering with migrants and refugees with basic support and integrating into German / Austrian societies for several years. Besides her mother tongues French and German she is also fluent in English, Mandarin and Spanish.
